As an artist I couldn't help but be inspired by my surroundings. My current influence is the David Bowie Is... exhibit that was showing at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, Canada. It seemed everywhere I turned Bowie had become a fixture of the Big Smoke landscape.
Being constantly bombarded by media made me question...

Behind the scenes of the making of Iconic is...
Upon entering the David Bowie Is... exhibit at the AGO, I was struck at the "actual" size of the displayed artifacts of my musical mentor's life were. Laid side by side for the first time with my imagined versions. His clothes, sketches and personal effects could have belonged to almost anyone. Almost. Visit after visit I found myself drawn to one particular artifact. A hand-written piece of music. A scrap of paper to some; to me, all things Iconic condensed. Art meets music. I was overwhelmed with inspiration.
